I’m sure glad I don’t try to make a living as a political pundit. I thought last night would kick Hillary out of the race. To the contrary, even though she didn’t actually close the delegate margin, she fought her way back into the thick of things. Ohio I could understand, although the margin was larger than I would have thought. Texas, though, I felt would go to Obama.
I hope the Democratic candidates don’t go into a negative-campaigning death spiral that benefits McCain. The worst scenario would be Hillary and Barack duking it out right up to the convention. The Democrats need to focus their energy on beating McCain, not beating up each other.
I still think Obama will prevail in the end. What I know for sure is that Rush Limbaugh is having a celebratory OxyContin today.
